Happy Jack Cats, Inc. and Lake Lowell Animal Rescue are offering microchip clinics at the Petco store at the Village at Meridian the third Sunday of every month (except November and December.) A microchip can help your lost pet find its way back to you and also prove your ownership.
A microchip identification tag is a tiny computer chip containing information linking you to your pet. It is common practice to insert the chip, which is non-toxic and about the size of a grain of rice, between your pet's shoulder blades. It will not cause your pet discomfort or allergic reactions, but provides a layer of security for your animal should it become lost. We offer this service to both cats and dogs. Should you have another type of animal that you would like chipped, just ask us if it is feasible.
The average cost chipping at a veterinary hospital is around $45 and is a one-time fee. We are offering our chipping services for $25 and your pet will be listed in a national registry.
